OFF & ON win award for Outstanding Contribution to the industry. Here's what the judges had to say:
“It's hard to believe it was a decade ago that this sassy businesswoman burst onto the beauty scene. With her fun, fur-lined walls and cheeky catch phrases such as "don't let your lady garden go to seed" and "brozillian," she changed the way we think about hair removal, opening the country's first dedicated waxing salons, and more recently our eyebrows, pioneering the microblading technique in New Zealand. With clinics nationwide, cutting edge technology and an army of dedicated staff, she has firmly cemented herself as the industry's leading expert in taking it off and putting it on.”
Founder Nicky Shore revolutionised Auckland’s hair-removal scene in 2008 with the opening of her now thriving business. The aim was to make the process more professional and, dare we say it, almost enjoyable (a wall switch signifies when you’re ready for the therapist to enter, which feels more dignified). Shore’s three salons in Newmarket, Britomart and Takapuna specialise in Brazilians – using special store-made wax – and laser hair removal.

Today they have grown to six locations across the country and a team of around 50 staff. It’s been fun to share the ride with them and Nicky tells us that we’ve been pretty helpful.
'I remember asking Ryan and Andrew if they believed they would be able to grow and develop the Timely product to match our ambitions. It was the most important thing to me because I could see that the other booking systems weren’t keeping up with the times. The guys gave me their word and have not let us down.' MORE"
