WHAT KIND OF BROWS
ARE GOOD CANDIDATES FOR MICROBLADING?

Challenged and frustrated brows are the perfect candidates for microblading.  The beauty of ON Browography is that its subtlety means many brows can be perfected in some way.  Some of the most common brow concerns are demonstrated in the gallery.

WHAT IF I ONLY WANT
A SUBTLE CHANGE?

This is the change we love!  Sometimes the smallest change makes the biggest difference and ON Browography is perfect for creating improvements in your brow that make a massive difference in how you look.  Balance and proportion are the key to realising your brows full potential.

HOW IS yOUR TECHNIQUE DIFFERENT TO STANDARD MICRO PIGMENTATION / COSMETIC TATTOOING?

It is very different and it is most important that expectations are managed.  This technique does not use a machine.  A hand held pen like tool with fine needles enables us to etch and mimic fine hair like strokes versus a more harsh block tattoo result.   The ensuing result is also not as permanent as with a life span of  12 - 18 months.  The idea is that this is a more regular maintenance service where you may get the colour refreshed between 6 – 12 months to keep your brows looking their best. The only similarity between our Browography microblading and tattooing is pigment is deposited into your skin.– but that is where all similarities end. You should be aware that pigment may always remain in your skin and that result are completely individual.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GETTING MY BROWS DONE WITH ON BROWHOUSE VERSUS
A COSMETIC TATTOOIST?

We believe that specialisation counts when the most important thing is having the best possible brow you can.  Having a specialist browographer perform a service like this, the focus remains on brow first and foremost. The shape, structure, colour and balance of the brow should guide the technical skill , not the other way around.

HOW LONG WILL MICROBLADING LAST?

Microblading is an investment in your brows and not a one stop lifetime solution, nor is it permanent as you may traditionally think of a tattoo.  How believable, natural and fresh your brows are long term is dependent on how frequently you opt to have the colour and strokes refreshed.  With a life span on average of  12 -18 months before the colour fades/dulls and the hair strokes definition fade, most people opt for a refresh every 12 months to keep their brows their best.  The refresh priced at $195 makes this an easy longer term commitment. Over time the colour and definition of the strokes will fade.  The longevity of ON Browography is highly dependant on how well you look after them, the integrity of your skin and it’s ability to ‘hold’ the hair stroke and colour.

DO I STILL NEED TO GET MY BROWS SHAPED AND COLOURED?

Our Browography microblading creates the foundation for your brows, however depending on what that is, it  still may be that you want and need to  keep your brows their best every few weeks, through proper shaping and colouring techniques.  By getting the foundation of the brow they love, most clients then treat them like any other brow and invest in regular maintenance with a brow artist.

WHAT ARE THE STEPS
IF I WANT BROW MICROBLADING?

There are three phases within our signature Browography service and all are compulsory if the desired result is to be achieved .

1. Consultation (1 hour)
A one hour complementary session to discuss, workshop and work with your brows to work out if Browography is the right solution for you and if so our objective.

2. First Service - Foundation (2 hours)
This is where the foundation for your brow is created.
The procedure itself takes up only a small proportion of time, it is all in the planning and preparation.
Topical anaesthetic is applied before and during the procedure to reduce any discomfort. Upon completion, comprehensive information and our aftercare pack is provided.
You can expect from 50% or more of the colour to fade between phase one and two which is completely normal.

3. Second Service - Finish (2 hours)
After 6-8 weeks you will return for your follow up appointment. This is when your brows are perfected, any issues are addressed and fully finished. Many clients wish to go darker and fuller once they understand how the results settle.
The same process as phase 1 is carried out and brows are perfected.

WHAT IS THE BROWOGRAPHY PROCESS ITSELF?

Like an artist with a calligraphy pen, we use fine needles to create hair like strokes in the brow in a pattern to mimic your brow hair growth so it looks completely natural.  A hypo-allergenic customised brow pigment is embedded into these fine strokes.

WILL MICROBLADING HURT?

We apply a topical anaesthetic before and during the procedure to maximise your comfort.  Many people describe it being more like an unusual scratching feel or just a little annoying rather than painful. We provide an aftercare pack for you to ensure you can look after your brows in the best possible way.

CAN YOU GUARANTEE WHAT MY BROWS WILL LOOK LIKE AND HOW LONG IT WILL LAST?

In short there is no normal result and it is dependent on so many factors, most of all... you!   Your skin type, ethnicity, general health, skin integrity, sun exposure and resistance to pigment are critical components to how ON Browography will result for you.  Aftercare is so critical especially in the first 10 days, following the procedure and all the hard work and investment, it can be compromised by not taking it seriously.  We take extra care to ensure you understand that the investment in your brows through microblading can be completely wasted if you don’t provide us with all the relevant information or look after them.

ARE THERE ANY CANDIDATES THAT CANNOT OR SHOULD NOT HAVE THIS PROCEDURE?

Yes.  This is why the consultation is so critical to understanding if microblading is for you.   There are some simple contraindications that  can be discussed over the phone even before coming in*.  Many brow frustrations cannot be overcome by our Browography microblading in particular complete colour correction of old tattoo work.

* Please Note: Microblading cannot be performed if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

IF I HAVE HAD MY BROWS TATTOOED OR EMBROIDERED PREVIOUSLY ELSEWHERE. CAN I JUST COME IN FOR A REFRESH?

Unfortunately not necessarily.  The ideal browography candidate is someone who has not had any previous tattoo work.  Due to the specialist nature of our work and the complexity and skill involved, we require all new clients to complete the complimentary consultation to understand their brows, current situation and if brow embroidery is a suitable option for them.  As you can appreciate there is often more involved to work on previously tattooed brows than a blank canvas.

CAN YOU CORRECT COLOUR PROBLEMS I HAVE HAD WITH PREVIOUS WORK DONE ELSEWHERE?

Not easily, particularly in the case of block tattoo. Feather strokes will still mean there is a veil of old colour showing through.  Browography is really ideal for brows without previous tattoo work.  We would require you to come in for the complimentary consultation to review and discuss your brows before being able to confirm if  Browography is a viable option to your brow frustration.

WHAT IS YOUR HYGIENE PROTOCOL?

We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of hygiene. We choose to use pre sterilised, individually packaged disposable tattooing equipment. The tools used to create your brows will be used on you and only you.  We wear and use disposable personal protective clothing and bedding, and use medical grade sterilisers and cleaning agents. We also provide you with detailed aftercare instructions to ensure that you can safely look after you tattoo during the healing period.

ON is dedicated to the safety and wellbeing of our clients. As such, we ask that you come in for a pre-treatment consultation to discuss in depth all potential risks and outcomes of this service and to assess your overall suitability for the procedure.

DO YOU HAVE EXAMPLES OF YOUR WORK?

Our Instagram gallery (some of which is below) shows some examples of our brow transformations, and we have many more that can be illustrated at your consultation.

Eyeliner Micropigmentation Questions

EYELINER MICROPIGMENTATION

WHAT KIND OF EYES ARE GOOD CANDIDATES FOR THE EYELINER MICROPIGMENTATION?

The beauty of eyeliner micropigmentation is that anyone is a good candidate, we specialize in offering the most natural looking lash line enhancement. No harsh thick lines.

WHAT IF I ONLY WANT A SUBTLE CHANGE?

This is the change we love! Our philosophy is natural is better – not fake, not forced, more natural, it’s you but just enhanced. Our philosophy is always less is more, enhancing the natural rather than creating and transforming appearances. We follow this philosophy with all of our permanent/semi-permanent make-up treatments – and can always add more in the second session if needed.

HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT TO OTHER EYELINER TATTOO'S BEING OFFERED ELSEWHERE?

Here at ON we specialise in offering the most natural-looking, lash-line enhancing treatments rather than thick, harsh lines. Our philosophy is always less is more, enhancing the natural rather than creating and transforming appearances.

HOW LONG WILL THE TATTOO LAST?

Over time the colour and definition of the line will gradually fade. The longevity of eyeliner micropigmentation is highly dependent on how well you look after them. Initial treatment requires two sessions (both included in the price) and touch-ups are usually complete with one session only – dependant on how long it’s been since it was last done/touched-up.

Sessions are done 8 weeks apart to allow for full healing of the skin.

We recommend for best results to have touch-up treatments done every 2-3 years – this insures colour stays fresh and crisp looking. As with any tattoo or pigment in general, fading can and often does occur, requiring periodic maintenance referred to as colour re-touch or touch-up.

WHAT ARE THE STEPS
IF I WANT TO GET MICROPIGMENTATION EYELINER?

The best next step would be to get you in for a complimentary consultation. We allow roughly half an hour for this and it gives us the opportunity to explain the process, answer any questions you may have as well as perform some patch tests.

WHAT IS INVOLVED IN THE PROCESS ITSELF?

We specialise in a procedure called Lashline Enhancement – where pigment is carefully inserted in amongst the eyelashes – giving the illusion of a fuller, more luscious lash line. Unlike microblading, our eyeliner is done with a state of the art digital tattoo machine – meaning pigment is implanted slightly deeper in the skin giving a longer lasting result. Eyeliner micropigmentation is done in two sessions (8 weeks apart) – giving you the option to go slightly bolder in the second session, if you wish. The use of specialised topical anaesthetics mean that discomfort is kept to an absolute minimum – most clients find the sensation more irritating than painful. We use a top of the line digital machine that keeps the process comfortable.

Each session takes approximately 1 and a half hours, you may experience some redness and puffiness for 24 hours.
